One of things I love to do on vacation is stuff my face. When I visited London, England a few weeks ago, I ate some serious yumminess. I ate everything all across the board but there were a few staples I couldn’t miss, like fish and chips!
Virgin Atlantic Plane Food
I knew I was in for a good time when I started off my vacation with a dairy stix on Virgin Atlantic. The British love their tea, and to have milk stix was perfection. Virgin Atlantic’s inflight service is kick ass. The food was decent and the treats were delish! I even got a brownie, chocolate mousse and ice cream. I know right?
The Old Ship
I really wanted a delicious Sunday Roast and the Brits really know how to rock their roasts. My friends took me to The Old Ship which was situated along the Thames. It was a bit gloomy that morning so the resto wasn’t packed but the view (even though grey) was spectacular. The food – even better. This was by far the best roast I’ve had in London.
Patisserie Valerie
This is a chain cafe/bakery in London. We strolled the Marylebone area and needed a pick me up. I was thinking about tea, but a croquet madame later, I was good to go!
The Newman Arms
One of our friends who used to live in London told us to visit The Newman Arms. They have a pie room located on the upper floor and I couldn’t wait to try their speciality! I am telling you, this place was sick. Check out that pie!

Our pies side by side. The pie in the back is a seafood pie topped with mash. Doesn't look as stellar as mine, but was quite tasty!
St. John Restaurant
This resto is one of my girlfriend’s favourite resto. She insisted we try it out when we came to visit. Their menu changes daily but their style is tapas and often serves delicacies. I can’t remember exactly what we ate (I didn’t take photos), but one of the best dishes was the (less adventerous) liver mousse. But the dish I loved the absolute most was the dessert! Madeleine cookies that need to be pre-ordered 15 minutes before hand. So fresh, so moist and so yum!
