My Oscar Fave: Hailee Steinfeld

Now that I finally caught up on the Oscars, I feel that I need to write atleast one post about it. I missed the red carpet but caught up on the fashion, a few interviews and the attendee list. So I’m good!

My fave of the evening hands down was Hailee Steinfeld. And at 14, she’s just cute as a button and looked fantastic at the Oscars. Check out her Marchesa gown which she helped design.

And she’s a major talent. Her first major role was in True Grit and just recently signed on to be lead the lead of Forgotten (her first role since True Grit). Of course, we’re all wondering if she’ll be Katniss in The Hunger Games. I’m really starting to like her! What I love the most? That she swapped out her Ferragamo heels for her red cons. Awesome!

Remember when little Emma Watson, at only age 11, hit the red carpets for the very first Harry Potter? And now in her 20’s, she’s landing major roles, the face of Burberry and still cute as a button. Just sayin!

Style Wants: Jessica Dress by Azzaro

So I’m a little late on this, but thought I’d head back in time and discuss the Golden Globes from last weekend. For some reason I didn’t care all too much about them this year (ahem The Social Network!). I think because they start so darn early on the west coast. It ends up being a day killer. So I ended up missing the red carpet but managed to see some of the fashion. On the hate list, Natalie Portmans’s nasty flower rose thing by Viktor & Rolf. What the hell was that? The rose looked like a third boob. She’s a tiny little girl and it just looked like a sleeveless dressing gown. Awful.

But then she changed for the after parties. She switched her lame-o pink robe for this Azzaro number. And though I don’t think she’s rocking it, the dress itself is absolutely fabulous.
